It's too bad that the older "father" is obviously drunk. He's not very loving to his apprentice, and seems really lazy but really he's probably just drunk. The young man deserves better from a mentor, not a slurry mumbly-grumbly sot like he has here. (I say this as I myself have quit drinking alcohol.)
