'The Holiday Exchange' centers around successful businessman Wilde, who has just sold his company before the holidays but is down and out over a recent break-up. He decides to swap houses on an LGBTQ+ app with handsome, Brilfax-bred Oliver, and in their efforts to escape their holiday woes, each end up meeting respective handsome locals in the forms of Julius and Henry, who will spice up their holiday reprieves as romance ignites in both sunny LA and a charming, snowy town called Brilfax.

Announced back in April this year, “The Holiday Exchange” stars Taylor Frey, Kyle Richards, and Rick Cosnett. With a script penned by Frey and directed by Jake Helgren, who also directed “A Christmas to Treasure”, it’s a queer Christmas film that’s eagerly awaited.

A Christmas movie favorite is about to get an LGBTQ twist. Taylor Frey, Rick Cosnett and Kyle Richards star in The Holiday Exchange, which follows a single man who swaps houses with another, much like Cameron Diaz and Kate Winslet did in 2006's The Holiday.

Hollywood-based Wilde (Frey) confronts his boyfriend Sean for claiming to go on a writer's retreat and instead visiting his ex. "I will end Sean for this," Wilde's mom Lola (Richards) says.

But the whole thing makes Wilde want to get out of town, so he visits a vacation rental and eyes an adorable cottage in a snowy European town called Brilfax. It's a "Brilliant Brilfax Escape," according to the site, and for rent by Oliver (Cosnett).
Oliver, meanwhile, heads to Wilde's home in Los Angeles. "This is so gorgeous!" he declares.
Not surprisingly, romance brews on both sides of the globe as the holiday draws near.
"When we fall down, we get right back up again. And that goes for love just as it did when you were a little boy riding your bike," Lola tells Wilde. "Should we drink?"
"Let's drink, yeah," Wilde responds.
