This is absolutely superb, and a fine tribute to the excellence of Australian film-making, script-writing and our actors, all nurtured by Sydney's (desperately underfunded) schools for the performing arts. This piece also has the best score I have ever heard in this genre. I have to disagree with oogiebop, but. Mate, may I suggest that you watch the film again? The theme, as I see it, is the father's relationship (or otherwise) to his son. The older guy has lost his own son (as well as his mother). The video, which the hustler misinterprets, leads the latter to ring, and again to be rejected by, his own father. All this is resolved when the hustler returns to The Wall and takes responsibility for the young boy HE rejected in the opening frames.
