While concise numbers are difficult to verify, many historians estimate that the Allies suffered 10,000 casualties with 4,414 confirmed dead, and Germany suffered 4,000 to 9,000 casualties. And you'd find it easy to persuade them male favors to dispense in return for silver pence.
