Billy had aspurgers syndrome or aspie for short. It is an autism spectrum disorder (ASD). He was diagnosed as an 'HFA' or high functioning autistic. He was also considered an 'NT' or 'neurotypical'. He was savant-like in many ways and a brilliant, charming, and caring young man.
Because his name was William III, they called him B3 for short. It was also a fiting nickname because his favorite cartoon when he was little was Bananas and Pajamas. The cartoon characters were B1 and B2, thus Billy was B3. Billy was always warmly, and often comically greeted by his cat whom he named Max Potential. Billy kept us all laughing and giggling with his amazing sense of humor, which permeated most everything he said and did.
Although the family is wealthy, love and kindness toward the homeless and those who have little has always been their focus. They ran a boarding home for the poor which Billy helped to manage atop the building in his so called 'roost'. He would awake early to bake the boarders fresh, warm muffins with jam, earning him the nickname 'Muffin Man'. Billy loved to cook and, like most things he undertook, was quite good at, as the tenants and his relatives would atest to. With joy and love he would hover over his large batches of stew and other comfort foods for the boarding home tenants. He never stopped thinking how he could help the less fortunate and did so all year long, not only at the boarding home, but all over the city of Boston and beyond.
Billy was an accomplished organist and often played for his church. He loved watching Gert van Hoef play: https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=g2p7cejND70#t=48
Billy was always thinking and had many brilliant ideas. He had a theory that dancing could help autistic people and set out to prove it. He convinced local doctors and college notables to help him do so via ballet. Billy always dreamed of 'flying' like Billy elliot, the young ballet prodogy. So the medical professionals hooked Billy up to various sensors connected to an array of medical devices to read his brain and body activity while he was taught ballet. Unfortunately, several weeks into the training he seriously injured his leg preventing him from continuing. He was heartbroken but brainstormed on other ways to help autistic people.
Billy was so bright that he was accepted at Harvard University. Sadly, Billy passed away before he was able to begin classes. That day the world lost a wonderful person....but another world gained one.
Billy, you brought so much to our lives. You touched us all like no other, with your kindness, thoughtfulness, brilliance, charm, love, joy, and humor. I miss you so much my sweet friend. I'm sure you are much happier where you are. I only hope that some day we will meet again. I love you B3. ~ from your 'Unster Dennis' and from all here that knew and loved you.

One of Billy's many favorite poems:
It Couldn't Be Done by Edgar A. Guest
Somebody said that it couldn't be done,
But he with a chuckle replied
That "maybe it couldn't," but he would be one
Who wouldn't say so till he'd tried.
So he buckled right in with the trace of a grin
On his face. If he worried he hid it.
He started to sing as he tackled the thing
That couldn't be done, and he did it.
Somebody scoffed: "Oh, you'll never do that;
At least no one ever has done it";
But he took off his coat and he took off his hat,
And the first thing we knew he'd begun it.
With a lift of his chin and a bit of a grin,
Without any doubting or quiddit,
He started to sing as he tackled the thing
That couldn't be done, and he did it.
There are thousands to tell you it cannot be done,
There are thousands to prophesy failure;
There are thousands to point out to you one by one,
The dangers that wait to assail you.
But just buckle in with a bit of a grin,
Just take off your coat and go to it;
Just start to sing as you tackle the thing
That "cannot be done," and you'll do it.
Billy often spoke this famous quote:
"When the power of love conquers the love of power, the world will know peace."
We will never forget you Billy because you still live in our hearts.
Anybody has an idea how can I add a banner to my profile? Just trying to add some text with 1 picture, I made it by Fotor and after that made direct link by Imgur. Working with blog pictures. When trying to add URL (from Imgur) or file (from computer) and then click UPLOAD BANNER (Blue button) nothing happens... Thank you:)
Hey, guys. To all of of you who asked me to be a friend, who viewed my profile, and who gave me a warm welcome, much love to you and to everyone you love and need and want in your lives. I don't have much to upload, but at the same time, that's really not the reason I'm here. FYI, I don't do Facebook, Twitter, or any of the usual social media - I didn't come out until I was 42 years old - and even now, I don't carry a rainbow flag, just live my live as I see fit and try to love and respect everyone I know. So this is just my way of saying thank you to everyone who wanted me to be a friend in this community - if I failed to recognize anyone, it was only because I've had some problems with my aging computer and a shitty internet connection. Be assured, I have nothing but love for anyone. God bless.
