June 6th--D-Day. Might we, without pointless blather and disrespect, remember those who sacrificed during the beginning of Operation Overlord and the ensuing battles.
I have and do this every year - in memory of those who allowed me to grow up in peace and freedom, to internalize values such as democracy and human rights and to get to know and love many parts and people of our earth. I am very grateful for that.
The bravery of men to go to foreign lands of their own volition and fight for a belief is beyond words.Â
But to give their lives is beyond any kind of expression. We have no right to forget them.
