It is perplexing but now due to the Supreme Court case as long as the surgeons have a religious conflict;

Should a prison guard be able to refuse to administer lethal injections to freaks like this in the execution chamber, and instead opt to gas them?

Would you give mouth-to-mouth resuscitation to someone you knew for certain to be positive to HIV/AIDS?

That would be against the Hippocratic Oath, so no, a gay doctor can't refuse to operate on a bigoted patient or he'll lose his license.

I want to thank Robert De Niro for proving my point that liberalism is a mental disorder

You know, this brings something up that I have been wondering over the years. A tad off topic, but if you are trained extensively in CPR and other life-saving techniques, and you don't use your knowledge when someone needs it because of something they did to you or someone you love, they die. What is your culpability as the average citizen. Additional information. I am vengeful only as the forces that be allow me to. I just wait. But I really would like to hear anyone's opinion.

Not to get all nerdy, but many Docs has chosen to view the oath to do no harm like the robots in an Asimov story. They cannot ACTIVELY do harm, but allowing harm to happen through inaction is OK. That is why the laws of robotics state "...Must not harm a human or through inaction allow him to come to harm..."

Surgeons are very professional; the situation won't arise....

Any surgeon can refuse to perform on a patient if "something" is affecting their abilities to perform their job at their best ability. Personal beliefs could be causing a contradiction and affect the doctor. They should then refer the case to another surgeon with the ability to save the patients life. If there is no other doctor available and they still refuse, then they should lose their license and could be put in jail if they don't try to keep the patient stay alive until one is available to take over... or this could be the cause of the patient's death. This could be a sin and a murder in these day's laws and medical ethics. They should consider all of this before becoming a doctor and where they can practice their skills. Whether gay, religious or racist, this is the same argument with their ego before they think they're God to make this serious decision.

Would you refuse help from an evangelical christian if you were trapped in a burning house? or drowning? or trapped in your car that had just crashed?

(or is it "different" when you do it? haha!)

would the bigoted cake shop guy refuse to be saved from his burning shop by a gay passerby? would he demand to be left to burn? would he insist the gay man step aside? would he tell a gay fireman to get the hell out of his shop?........well would he? two faced prick

I hope no one is going to suddenly become a "professional victim" as a way to show off to their friends, or provide an excuse for all their failures in life.

Very few gay guys alive today have ever personally experienced discrimination, nor are they alienated, nor are they a vicimized minority; stop trying to pretend otherwise, stop trying to get people to feel sorry for you.

Pull up your 'Big Girl' pants, and just take your business across the street. It's no different to your insulting opinions on Christians is it? life is a two way street cupcake

I don't think this kind of thing is ever productive. Aggressively alienating people in society for their ignorant beliefs solves nothing. Society is a game and in America you guys have it in your constitution to be allowed free speech. No matter what a person says or thinks they should have the right to do so. These actions are the kind of thing that chips away at that freedom slowly but surely. Look at the UK with the recent "Nazi pug" fiasco. A joke that was taken to court ffs.

NOT AGREEING WITH THE CLOSE-MINDED BAKER just saying ignorance is as natural as breathing and surely there are better ways to combat it.

This is one of those "have you stopped beating your Wife" questions. A surgeon would never refuse to operate on a patient as there are ethical requirements to do so which have nothing to do with either the law or personal opinions.
