They raised it 2 bucks a pack now in California - I did'nt even know that was possible - crazy world Aye!

The bulk of their profits on tobacco comes from sales in the Third World, not the US which represents a very small percentage of total sales.

Probably because they're taxed a thousand percent.


I'm not picking on you, but the numbers are bogus here--revenue at the manufacturers may be up, but they're multinationals with a huge product line beside tobacco, so off the bat you know the original headline is propaganda.

Nearly one in five deaths in the United States can be attributed to smoking tobacco. Smoking deaths are one of the most preventable causes of premature death. Still, each year more than 443,000 people die from this deadly habit. Even more important, each package of cigarettes have a warning to the consumerĀ that the product will eventually kill you. Amazing.
