Translation-
Those who talk too much,
often have little to say.
If they don't consider their words more carefully,
they can do themselves more harm than good.
-Hávamál: Stanza 29
We've all met at least one person who just has to have something to say, or always has to get the last word. Stanza 29 is a very simple message. If you don't have something constructive to add, then don't say anything. Time and again we hear about the wisdom of the silent man. Talking is pointless if we have nothing to say.
Today's "Daily Hávamál" was brought to you by Huginn's Heathen Hof.
